Bag Chronicles August Week 4

Rounding off the Month of August I am all about beginner friendly bags.  Yes, we can always go for complex.  For those truly just starting out, why shoot yourself in the foot.

This is a great beginner pattern if you can manage sewing curves and precise edge-stitching.  I taught a customer how to make this bag and she loves it.  Me…not so much.

It’s what I would deem a narrow cross body bag.  I would have preferred a slightly shorter and wider version.  However, it is still a nice, funtional bag.

The only modification I made was lengthening the strap because the customer was tall.  I honestly didn’t take note of the length.  Sorry. 😔

This bag with made predominantly on a Brother Project Runway sewing machine. I did use my Bernina 560 for edge-stitching the the front panel and the straps.  Simply because we were under pressure to finish it for a trip.  A tag team effort! 😉
